I live 37 degrees north of the equator, where the noon elevation of the sun is 30 degrees above the horizon at the winter solstice, and is 76 degrees above the horizon at the summer solstice. Presumably a plot of noontime elevation would be approximately a cosine function centered in June, but is it tabulated somewhere on the web?

It’s the winter and their doesn’t look like there is much sun. I think I’m too pale and pasty looking. How do I get some color?

winter months around here last around november – march

there is usually no sun rays…meaning we hardly see the sun although we know its up….

we dont have a cover because we cannot afford a cover at the moment.

we dont have small children and we keep our dogs inside…this is just for those that are rude and have smart allecky comments
no i dont have an above ground pool it is below ground…whatever you call it
i live in the central valley…san joaquin valley

I’ve just realized after shaving, i wait for a few days and the hair still didn’t grow back that long. Just wondering why it grows quicker in summer and not in winter. This isn’t a problem though, because it’s actually a good thing and doesn’t mean i have to shave as often as i do in summer. Could it be because of the lack of sun?

I love lillies but in the winter the flowerbeds look bare. I live in South Louisiana and my flowerbeds are in full sun. Is there another plant I can put over the bulbs to liven up my beds that would not hurt/hinder my lillies?

How much is a good amount of time in the sun?
I would like to go get a tan just naturally. I’m not super pale, but winter has magically made my tan disappear. I don’t want to spend too much time in the sun and get sunburned, because obviously that is bad for my skin. So how long should I be in the sun?

I love the Spring and Summer. Once Fall hits, I get a little more sad because Summer feels so far away, it gets darker at night earlier, and the temperatures drop.

Burr, it’s so freezing in the mornings and at night once the sun goes down. When it’s cold it gets hard to be motivated to do activities, such as going out for a walk or exercising.

Any suggestions on how
to get rid of Winter :(
and make it Winter :)

I have heard that for the resin to cure, you are supposed to leave your car in the sun for an afternoon. Does this even work during the winter?
