Are you aware of the new holiday sweeping the world called “Liveaboard diving”? This is an easy holiday for people to arrange, all you need is a bloat and a plane ticket! Liveaboard holidays are mainly for people in groups, or for families, it could get very lonely if you went on your own.

Wondering what Liveaboard means? It is almost like thinking of it as a holiday on the ocean. This is a fantastic way to spend two weeks, just bobbing along the sea. One way you can do it, is just by taking the boat into the open sea and sunbathing up on deck for several days, returning only to land for food and drink. I couldn’t believe my luck when my Client said that he wanted me to join him on one of his holidays. After arriving in the Maldives, we went to a local port where our “Yacht” was waiting for us, it bore the name “Monsoon” on it’s side.

In my mind this was going to be a series of business meetings, and no talking in between, but my Client wanted to make it clear that it was a holiday and not a business trip. One day of work was all that my client wanted to do, so the rest was just holiday time. The day after that and every other day we went diving. Diving is one of my Forte’s and i have enjoyed it through my life, so I was in my element. If you are enjoying yourself it is quite difficult to keep a professional mind on your shoulders. I couldn’t believe my eyes one morning while we were out diving, there was a Whale Shark swimming beside us.

I was quite proud of myself, after only half a day of work, I then had about 12 days further of just enjoying the sun and the sea. If you have never been Liveaboard Diving, then you have to give it a try, no exceptions. Heading on this trip was the best thing that I had ever done. Being able to go swimming in the open ocean with nobody else around was a surreal experience.

Diving holidays and Liveaboard diving is Great, not a very professional word, but there are few ways to describe it, so whey not give luxury holidays a go in the Indian Ocean!
